7 days in

I'm one week into the 2B Mindset program and just received my kit in the mail.  I've been following the program online since last Friday...weighing everyday...trying to get my water in. 

But let me tell you...it's HARD!  You are supposed to drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day...for me, that's 135 ounces...more than a gallon!  I think the closest I came was last Tuesday when I drank 120 ounces.  I felt like I was going to float away and must have peed a gazillion times that day.

I am also experiencing caffeine withdrawal.  See, I was a HUGE Diet Coke drinker previously...like 3 cans a day at least.  And I've stopped cold turkey.  I know the headache will subside soon...but it makes me irritable.

Veggies...I was never a huge veggie eater, and this program is going to change that.  50% of lunch should be veggies and 75% of dinner.  This week I've eaten so many baby carrots and celery I'm sure my skin will start to tint orange!  But I've roasted cauliflower and liked it.  I've also done parmesean roasted broccoli, red peppers and green beans.  And loved all of them.  I just ordered a spiralizer off Amazon and am looking forward to making some zoodle recipes I've found. 

Carbs...surprisingly, I'm not missing the carbs like I thought I would.  Perhaps that is because I'm eating foods that actually are filling me up versus just giving me an energy boost. 

Overall, it's hard...but I'm determined to make this work.  I walked 1.5 miles last night and it felt great to be outside.

7/20 starting weight: 270lbs
7/26 weight: 262.8lbs
1 week loss: 7.2lbs
